Zendesk is a web based customer service software solution. Businesses can enjoy easy to use tools that require no download and installation. Zendesk also gives users more options for communicating with clients, from their website to Twitter, Facebook, Velaro chat, and email. On top of that, Zendesk users can search through a MindTouch-powered knowledge base built through crowdsourcing. Additional features make it easy for clients to monitor the progress of their inquiries so they remain up to date on new responses and changes. Zendesk also gives clients the opportunity to set up a self service support system for their clients. Through self service support, clients can assist each other to come up with answers through an online community.
Zendesk was created to provide users with a better way to service their customers. Through web based solutions, users can put together a full service support system for their clients. Self service options add flexibility and allow the company to build its own online community that acts as a user driven support system. Using many of the most innovative functions, Zendesk has created a wide range of valuable solutions to help users reach out to and assist customers.
Zendesk offers a handy self service feature that can take some of the load off of the client. The client can add a self service support forum that allows users to connect and help one another with their questions. The simple set up makes it even more appealing for small businesses and other professionals. Users can sign up and set up their accounts and support solutions within minutes.
The professional style of Zendesk is accented by a rich green and orange color scheme. The fun Buddah logo adds personality to the site, as well as an inviting atmosphere for new users. The general layout is well organized, which makes it very easy to explore and find the right tools. Each customer service feature is simple to use and free of clutter so the user is not overwhelmed as they work with each Zendesk tool.
New users can create a Zendesk account by clicking on the orange “Try It Free” button, positioned to the bottom left of the homepage beside the smiling Buddah image. The registration form asks for a full name, email address, company name, phone number, help desk size and desired Zendesk site URL. After clicking the terms and conditions check box, the user can click the “Create My Free Zendesk” button at the bottom. The user can access their new account, but is advised that the registration is temporary until they have verified their email account.
Zendesk can choose from three account types. The cheapest is the Starter account which costs about $10 per month and includes basic mail and web help desk for up to three agents. The mid-range account, called the Regular, upgrades to include customization options and community features and costs about $30. The highest account level, called the Plus, runs about $60 and upgrades to include analytics, data portability, and 24 hour phone support from the Zendesk team.
Zendesk is an easy solution for small businesses or anyone with a limited budget. The features offered can enhance a limited customer service capability. Of course, a large business would likely have the budget to accommodate a full service customer support system. Zendesk is more for the business or professional with a limited operation budget.
